According to a Rasmussen Report released on April 16, 2010, the voters in New Jersey strongly support the proposal by Governor Chris Christie to put a freeze on the amount of money the state's level of local school aid.
In a telephone survey, Rasmussen found that only twenty-eight percent of voters oppose the proposition which Christie says is needed to help reduce New Jersey's $11 billion budget deficit. Sixty-five percent are in favor of a one-year pay freeze on the salaries of administrators, teachers and school workers.
