As a Certified Nursing Assistant, most are likely already aware that what they do is very important. Those in the medical field can see that the work done is some of the most demanding work out there, because CNAs are working directly with patients who need their care. This work definitely puts them in a good position and their training and certification proves they’re up to the task of caring for people.

Part of the job description may include some primary tasks that are to be done under the care of the Resident Nurses, such as direct care for the patient on a regular basis, several times a day. A CNA can expect to care for the patient, dealing with almost all of their needs, including bathing and dressing them. They may also have to assist them with eating their meals and taking medication. This task list is just an overview, and most CNAs can actually expect to do much more work than that.
