Jobs are still hard to come by with many countries still struggling to come to terms with the recession and although governments worldwide have been saying the recession is over, there seems to be little that has changed. There is still talk of the job market being so slow that many people who lost their jobs more than a year ago have given up trying to find one and may decide never to work again. This is a sad state of affairs as many people gauge their self-worth on the fact that they have a job.

Some employers seem to be having trouble making the decision to employ someone or not, they ask agencies to find someone, then change their minds. This does not bode well with anyone looking for a job, as it is a sure sign of a fickle market and employer. By the time employers finally make the decision that they need someone, their market may have dried up completely because those unemployed have either given up or gone elsewhere. Many people looking for jobs have had to go to other states or other countries to find employment.

Governments Spending Cuts and Job Losses

Some governments are still cutting expenses and to some extent cutting jobs as well. This does not help any economy as it is the input of dollars (and pounds) that keep the economies going. Although the Australian, US and UK governments all paid stimulus packages to their citizens, the economies of these countries, except Australia still seem to be stalling.
